Dance Asia Colors! Holiday Showcase, a series showcasing creative cultural heritage performances, once again brought high energy while celebrating the diverse Asian cultures (along with a touch of Bolivia and Ireland) within the Arlington (VA) environs. Last Saturday’s free color series event at Thomas Jefferson Auditorium in Arlington was the 4th annual which takes place each November to kick off the holiday season. The event falls under the umbrella of Dance Asia which is now in its 10th year.

Each artist or group presented creative pieces to reflect traditions of their cultural heritage through a particular given color.

“It is with great gratitude and joy that I would like to present to you our holiday showcase,” Wuiping Yap, the brainchild of Dance Asia and founder of Asia Heritage Foundation, told the audience. “We do it because it is our passion and it is our responsibility to continue on our heritage.”
